Strive for technology and cost leading capacitors industry leaders

Linkeycon Chairwoman April Lin Speaks at Fan India Summit & India Lighting Summit 2026

On-the-Ground Insights from India’s BLDC Market: When the Samples Arrived but the People Could Not

Greater Noida, India — August 6, 2026 — April Lin, Chairwoman of linkeycon, spoke today at Fan India Summit & India Lighting Summit 2026, held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. Appearing on the panel Unlocking Global Market Opportunities – Role of Diplomatic Missions & Country Offices, she shared linkeycon’s first-hand experience in the Indian market, outlining a pragmatic "Indian assembly + Chinese core components" collaboration model and calling for policy barriers to industrial mobility to be removed.
With R&D rooted in Songshan Lake and manufacturing in Anhui, linkeycon has spent over two decades specializing in aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Lin used the session to describe how visa and flight disruptions have tangibly slowed supply-chain trust-building—and why the market opportunity never disappeared, only the ease of getting engineers into client labs.

India: A Growth Curve Visible to the Naked Eye

On where the highest growth potential lies over the next five years, Lin was unequivocal: the most certain growth in BLDC fans will not come from Europe or America, but from India itself.
"The BEE mandatory energy-efficiency standards are pushing induction motors toward a 4-star rating, and BLDC ceiling-fan shipments in FY2025 surged 67% year-on-year," Lin noted. "Add to that the ventilation-upgrade demand from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the GCC, and this is an upward slope that component manufacturers can see with the naked eye."
She explained that linkeycon’s 105℃/125℃ long-life, low-ESR capacitors allow Indian brands to avoid the heavy capex of building their own capacitor lines. "As long as you clarify the BIS benchmarks, RoHS compliance documents, target market, product requirements, and positioning, we can deliver a complete component solution."
Lin also highlighted linkeycon’s extensive service experience in the new-energy sector, covering solar-energy servos, high-power power supplies, EV charging stations, and other industrial products.

Two Decades of Bench Testing, Delivered by Phone and Courier

Why can linkeycon offer Indian customers precise component-selection advice? Lin traced the answer to over 20 years of in-depth partnership with Midea Group and other renowned domestic and international manufacturers.
"Over those 20-plus years, we have gone through countless bench tests of BLDC motors and other industrial products under extreme conditions, developing a deep understanding of inrush current, high-temperature and high-humidity aging," she said.
Yet for several years, that expertise could not be delivered in person. "Our engineers' visa applications have been repeatedly denied. When people cannot get there, bench support has to rely on overseas phone calls, late-night emails, and express-courier samples."
Even so, linkeycon leveraged its deep knowledge of Chinese-made products to convert "Made in China" professional solutions into "Made in India" on-the-ground results through local partners. "This quiet, behind-the-scenes commitment to delivering technical trust is at the core of how we open markets," Lin said.

The Institutional Cost of Personnel Mobility

Lin devoted a significant portion of her remarks to the real-world impact of visa barriers and suspended direct flights.
"In recent years, Chinese business visas to India fell from 200,000 annual issuances to just 2,000. Direct China-India flights dropped from more than 500 monthly departures to zero. To meet clients, we had to route through Hong Kong, Bangkok, or Singapore, with one-way travel times exceeding 12 hours and costs doubling."
She stressed that when the samples arrived but the people did not, validation cycles were forced to stretch out, and trust-building could only be ground down over time. "The mutual visa restrictions and drastic flight reductions may look like administrative issues on the surface, but in substance they sever the face-to-face trust that supply-chain collaboration most depends on."
Relief came only in the second half of 2025, when both sides eased visa policies, direct flights resumed in October, and frequency recovered to 150 weekly departures this year.
"It turned out that the market demand had not disappeared; what was missing was the openness and mutual accommodation between governments, which directly sets the physical radius of industrial exchange," Lin said. "What enterprises can do is simply make better products; but enabling enterprises to send people with confidence, and making it affordable to send them, is a matter of inter-governmental mutual trust. For two 1.4-billion-level markets like China and India, industrial complementarity is not a slogan—it requires consulates, civil aviation, and customs to tear down the walls together, so our people can walk into each other's laboratories."

No Shortcuts: From Going It Alone to Local Partnership

Reflecting on linkeycon’s entry into India, Lin was direct: "There are no shortcuts."
"We had no ready-made political or business connections; we simply packed our samples, exhibited at trade show after trade show, and earned orders one by one by proving product stability under high-temperature conditions—gradually building brand recognition."
Only in the past two years, after Indian local service providers with exceptional expertise saw linkeycon’s market acceptance, did they choose to join forces. "That is when the business truly began to flourish."
Lin called on diplomatic and trade-promotion organizations to invest more effort in solving real-world problems—organizing more policy briefings targeted at both exporting and importing countries, and explaining complex BIS and customs/tax regulations in plain language. She also encouraged foreign chambers of commerce to serve as bridges, organizing more pure-play industry exchange events that help exporting enterprises truly integrate into India’s industrial ecosystem rather than remain confined to exhibition halls.
